Eh.... it is what it is....Mar 09, 2010 We already knew a little girl who had one of these, and so my daughter had to have one too. So we knew from the get go what this toy was capable of which is, in essence, very little. Its pretty much just an overly expensive stuffed animal, and a little on the small side for the (...) I paid for it. At 3 1/2 years old, she's a bit young to use the web site experience these things are famous for, so we don't even get that use out of it. The only thing that saved this thing from a one star rating is the fact that my daughter really likes it a lot, and at the end of the day, thats really the only thing that matters!!
Perfect PandaJan 08, 2010 Great toy. My 8 year old loves it. The interaction on the web is easy and fun. Would recommend.
A nice giftDec 30, 2009 This was a nice gift for a friend's daughter, but I wish that, for gift giving purposes, that it had come with a box. It just came in a plastic bag.
Great for any ageDec 28, 2009 My 12 yr. old daughter, and several nieces under the age of 6 love these stuffed animals!

Brilliant marketing, little valueApr 23, 2009 Let's be honest about it. What you get for your hard-earned money is a small, cheap stuffed toy and not a particularly well designed or durable one. The kind that you would find at a garage sale for about a quarter and not a lot better than what you may get with some fast food chain 'happy meals'.
What you see (see picture) is just about all you get. There are no electronics, the toy does not talk, does not blink, it does not interact in any way and it feels pretty fragile. What made this stuffed toy so wanted by my 5 year old little girl was an intense and aggressive TV advertising campaign and the promise to be allowed access to a wonderful Web site where the little pet is supposed to come alive.
Well... the Web site has nothing to distinguish it from many free sites that appeal to kids of my little girl's age - think neo-pet. The little panda can play games and with the credit she earns she can buy little accessories or keep herself well fed. The end.
Oh, I forgot, it's not the end. If the girl can make daddy buy FOUR of these overpriced wonders, then the little girl is allowed 'gold membership' so that she can do very much more of the same. Only more.
These days, when it's so hard just to stay afloat AND keep kids happy and shielded out of trouble, we should be careful with what we get our kids. This particular line of toys offers near-zero value and the money spent on it could have be spent on just about any other toy or game.
