Roomy, durable, extra pocket is a plusMar 08, 2010

My six-year old loves Ben 10 and this backpack. The backpack is roomy, has padded straps, a waterproof lining, and is easily cleaned. I also like that in addition to the main storage area, there is another full-length zip pocket in front. An added plus: my son just recently noticed -- and was delighted by -- the alien outline pattern on the black background of the bag.

We bought this backpack for my then second grader a year ago. It gets packed full on a regular basis (think adding the winter coats in at the end of the day when it's warmer) and has been used for travel as well as for school. Amazingly it still looks as good as new (and it is used as only a 9 year old can use something). A great bag for the money and my son still loves the Ben 10 design.

I was surprised at the quality of this backpack because of the low price(paid just under $11 from Amazon). My 5 year old loves this backpack. He goes off to school each day happy to have Ben 10 on his back. I believe this backpack will hold up for the year. I really expected it to be cheaply made since it was inexpensive but was surprised of the quality. It has padded shoulder straps and two zipper sections. This allows him to put his lunch box in one section and his three ring binder in the other. I wish there was a small pocket either on the back or the side. I haven't figured out why there are velcro straps across the back unless you need to loosen them if you have a heavy load. Definitely was a good deal, especially with the Amazon Prime free shipping. We ordered it Wednesday night and had it Friday afternoon. Sure beat running around town to find a Ben 10 backpack. Most of the Ben 10 backpacks on Amazon are overpriced according to the List Prices on Cartoon Network's website but not this one.
