Description:

Buzz Saw is a figure of mystery, feared and respected on both sides in the Beast Wars. He is seldom even glimpsed as he flies at extreme altitudes to gather vital recon information or to rain unexpected death down on the Maximals far below. Little do any of them realize that he is, in actuality, a complete and utter coward, and his long range tactics stem entirely from the fact that he is terrified of coming into direct contact with the enemy. On the occasions where he must appear on an actual battlefield he does his best to remain at the back of the lines, hiding as best he is able behind dozens of other attacking Predacons. Socially he's a bit of a gossip and rather prone to bragging, wanting everyone to know what a great job he did on his last mission.

Transformers Beast Wars

5Buzzsaw > WaspinatorMar 01, 2012

This toy is fantastic! True, he's basically just a repaint of Waspinator with a different head mold, but actually I think he's even better. I can't say for Waspinator, but I do know that Buzzsaw does in fact have two interchangeable heads. There is that classic Transformer style head that you see in the pictures and was seen in the comic he was in, plus there is a Waspinator style head that you flip over to replace his normal head. The Waspinator head is purple with semi-translucent green eyes. This, in my opinion, upgraded his value ten fold. I didn't even know about it until I transformed him.

The other thing I like is the paint scheme. These pictures are really bright, so his colors are actually much more vivid than what you see on here. Try Google images to get a better detail on his color scheme. I am a bigger fan of the yellow and black seen here rather than the green and yellow of Waspinator. True, it does make his color scheme look more like Cheetor but I'd rather my Yellow Jacket wasp be yellow rather than green.

This is my favorite of the Japanese transformers I have bought so far. As of now I have Stampy, Transmetal Airazor, Bighorn, and Buzzsaw. So I don't have many. I am soon going to get Corahda, Heinlad, Transmetal Cheetor, and Transmetal Waspinator. Long live the beast era!
