Fun, Well-Made ToyAug 13, 2010
By MomofTwins We only have the Tiny doll, so can't review the interaction part, but I'm impressed enough with Tiny that I'm going to buy two more so my kids can have them interact. Tiny has some cute features--you hear a "stomp" sound when you stomp her feet on the floor, there's a flying sound when you move her wings, and a chomping sound when you touch her mouth. The phrases she says are cute, and often educational such as "I'm a fishovore, I mean carnivore" & "my wingspan will be 30 feet someday." My children love it, so I have no complaints here. They've also dropped this doll plenty of times, and she still works, so I think it's a well-made toy that will hold up to pre-k playing.

Roar!!! Your Dinosaur loving child will LOVE it!Dec 04, 2010

My son came across these toys in Target and was was in love with the "roars". I had never even heard of Dinosaur Train at the time, but anything my son loves makes me happy. I let him play with them in the store a couple of different times and he still loved them. He bought Tank with some birthday money from his Uncle, and I got him the Buddy & Tiny value pack, since I figured he needed more than one to take advantage of the interaction aspect.
They work a lot better on the "demo" mode they show in the store. The interaction in regular play mode is not as good as I would have liked to see. When we sit down and play with him, it seems to help with the interaction a little bit. Regardless of the full interaction, my son loves his "roars". He presses the buttons over and over again to hear his "roars" talk.
The Dino's are extremely durable and have been severely used and abused as a two year old boy seems to do with a lot of his toys. They have been thrown on the ground, rammed against one another (dino fights), and accidently dropped. They still work just fine. We still love them enough, that we have already purchased Boris for Chirstmas, and will be getting the other two dinosaurs maybe for Christmas, maybe just for the heck of it.

Fun, and not even that annoyingNov 15, 2011
By S.R. Siggs Well, okay. After the 50th repetition in a row I do try and get the kids to play with somethings else for awhile. ;) These are remarkably sturdy toys, with enough different things to say that they don't get old too fast. It's pretty cute when they start talking to each other.
They have held up under a lot of abuse, getting dropped and thrown and chewed on by a puppy. Tiny lost a finger to that one, but it didn't effect her ability to talk.
The speech abilities do not withstand a swim in the dog bowl, however. Keep them away from water. :D

NiceDec 10, 2010
By KJ My 3 year old (almost 4) daughter loves dinosaur train. We bought these for a christmas gift. Buddy and Tiny (plus a t-rex I bought from target) are talking together. My gifts are all wrapped and had to put the three dino's in seperate rooms so they would not be discovered. They seem to be a good choice.

i got buddy (which was MUCH more durable than tiny)and tiny for my oldest who is 5. she isnt rough with toys at all and after only about 2 weeks or so one of the wings broke off. so now she only has one wing. i love the way the 2 toys interact with each other but they really couldve made the wings sturdier on tiny. buddy on the other hand is in tact and doing well, they both still work fine but its sad that the wing was that easily broken:(
