2Too pricey for the quality.Mar 26, 2011
By S. Jones "Cat Lover"
My 9 yr old grandson wanted this for his birthday. I purchased it and I was disappointed at the quality. The plastic is cheap and it really is pricey for what you get. I feel they should lower the price or improve the quality. The quality doesn't warrant the pricetag!

3Scarab, amusing not worth the money.Aug 02, 2010
By Zara "Harbringer"
I wouldn't call this a toy at all. To be honest once you put the legs in place, they are extremely hard to remove if I was try that at this point. The body and over all condition of this scarab, feels like it is made of cheap plastic. Or its not thick enough to withstand much.
Yes this Scarab is Huge! For a 'toy' it is enormous. The fact that I may never play the table top game leaves me wondering what to do with this hunk of plastic. Its size means you can't just stick it on the shelf and be happy with its strange almost creepy figure always looking in your direction. The cheap plastic feel of it means I cannot bring it down and allow the cat (who is smaller than it by a considerable amount) to mess with it, though I highly doubt she could do any real damage to the Scarab. By cheap plastic I mean that when I touch the scarab, areas that are sticking out with less of the materiel feel like they could be easily broken, brittle in some form
I think if they invested a little more into making this 'toy' it would be a lot cooler, like investing in harder more maneuverable plastic. By making move-able joints so I could at least move the legs once I stick them in their sockets.
I would say there a couple of good points I should mention
1.) Know what your buying - ActionClix Scarab Vehicle pack only comes with the scarab, and two board maps with a couple of cards. Scarab is meant for a table top game.
2.) Not a toy. If you purchase this scarab, I hope you intend it for the table top game or to just sit around and look creepy. Cheap plastic means it could be easily breakable
3.) Legs go in, not likely to come back out. Just something to keep in mind for storage purposes if you bring it out, since I fear breaking it from its cheap plastic design.
4.) Though really cool looking in appearance, I would say that the design of the scarab could be a little better, though without better materials they couldn't have made it any better than it already is.
5.) ONLY ONE MOVE-ABLE Part. The turret on the back of the scarab is the only move-able piece of the whole design.
I guess its just me but I wanted something more out of the whole deal when I look at. I remember when I was young and transformers took a beating like no other, they were fairly complicated to transform too. When legos were durable complicated and never ending, even with their new line of stuff. what I believe was the beginnings of Bionicles.

Get it for looks or the table top game. Dont get this for kids or expect to really be able to mess with / play with this 'toy' (item)
Cheap plastic feel (brittle) leaves me wondering if the price of this item (which is also hollow) is worth it. Around a 150 dollars for hollowed brittle feeling plastic...
Its cool, but overall not totally worth the money.
(I did not purchase this item, it was purchased for me by a friend for an interesting birthday gift... sure was a big box)

5Broken No we shall fix it!Dec 31, 2011

Okay this toy was well worth every penny I paid for. I do not blame the seller for this toys Flaws in anyway. The seller made good on dilivery, Product condition, and overall packaging. I would buy from this seller again. So why would I rate this the way I did. Well for all you poeple out there with a scarab you may want a pin and paper Because this is how you fix a Scarab. First of all Shame on the poeple who made the Scarab. Its plastic is okay its not the best but its good enough to stand up to some abuse. The glue is the problem. Its some kind of cheep foam stuff very cheap. So get your self a small carb board tube and some soft foam. Your going to make a small stand for it. The middle body of the scarab sits on this so all that extra presure comes off the legs. Next go get a couple of Tubes of Nail glue. The glue they use for your mothers nails or girl freind. Why because that stuff is a god cent for this type of plastic. Make sure its not acid base! Next look at each leg very carfuly and place glue on it where it needs it. This should take about an hour. You may notice a white film around it thats fine. When all of this is done Your Scarab should be a bit more Movible. So I give this buy my highest reguards in awsome. The scarab despite its flaws is an awsome thing to behold. And this seller made my brothers Christmass the best. I recomend this seller to anyone. P.S. sorry for the miss spelling was in a rush.

4Looks good but legs don't move, just the head...Dec 29, 2011
By JG777
My son has been wanting a Halo Scarab for about 5 yrs & we couldn't find it anywhere online or at stores. I'm glad we finally found it and he was extremely happy to open this Christmas gift & put it together. I liked the fact that it only had 5 parts to assemble & all the other parts were done. The item came in as expected without anything wrong with it & it was packaged very securely. It is a great size; big enough so that my son can use his Halo action figures when he plays & they don't dwarf the scarab. The downside is that the only moving part is the head(which he continues to remind me of since he got it), the legs are stationary so my son has to pick it up when he pretends it's walking & it's cumbersome to do that. I'm just happy he finally has what he's been wanting so I thank the makers & sellers for having this item available, shipping it on time, keeping it safe from breaking, & making it sturdy; it made my son's Christmas this year.

Very happy with the shipping time. Everything arrived in perfect condition. I read some reviews before I purchased this Scarab, and people were saying it was poor quality plastic. It seems no different than any toy you would buy at any store. I am completely satisfied with everything about it.
