Best of the Halo figuresApr 12, 2010 My 4 year old received this as a gift (don't lecture me about Halo for kids, he loves the art, story and characters and is immersed in imaginative play because of it) and this figure is quite substantial. Like a "real" Hunter, it dwarfs the other action figures. The figure is very detailed and has held up numerous drops and kills by Master Chief. My only regret with this one is that I didn't have the gifter get two of them. My son says, "they come in pairs..." It was purchased purchased xmas 2009 in a chain toy story and they no longer exist out there. My son has over 1/2 of these figures and this one is by far the best. We've been a Bungie Family for well over 15 years now with me starting on Myth, but Halo is by far the most interesting story I've seen. Now, if I could only afford those plasma laser tag guns, we'd be set for household warfare. I removed a durability star due to one of the spikes coming out, but since the ball remained on the spike, it was easily snapped back in.
Pretty solid but may be sharp for kidsJan 22, 2010 More of a collector and this toy works well. Not sure why it would be educational but still looks pretty close to the game version from Halo 3 and up. Spikes are removable and sometimes hard to adjust aesthetically. Colors are nice. Decent size and weight. Claws have three moving fingers. Shield does not come off as far as I know. Feet move in the y-axis in the toes and heel as to compensate and balance the feet according to its large weight. Head rotates in x-axis all the way around. Not sure about playing with it. In my response, maybe a little much for younger kids. Had it sitting on a shelf and it fell on my head. Hurt pretty bad due to its weight and spikes. Won't be doing that again.

Not great of a productNov 23, 2009 I just received this product and as soon as I took it out of the box, the right elbow broke off really easily when I tried to move it. The elbow area has a very cheap, thin piece of plastic that holds the cannon arm to the body. I had to use crazy glue to fix it. Also I had to clip the end of the spikes off a centimeter because it was so sharp I was afraid my nephew was going to puncture his skin with it.
This action figure is MAN-SIZED!Nov 20, 2009 I managed to snag a deal when I purchased my Hunter Action Figure so I figured that it was a win-win situation for me. That aside, this is an excellent collectable action figure for the Halo/Sci-Fi fan. This figure is thick and heavy! I don't reccomend throwing it or crushing it for that matter, but if you're a serious/avid collector, then you won't be doing that anyway. I think that you'll be quite satisfied with this action figure in your collection and with the size and detail put into it, you might, just might, find it becoming one of your favorite centerpieces.
Covenant Hunter is sturdyAug 16, 2009 The Hunter is a sturdy toy, and the moving parts are great. You cannot pose it in its most common in-game pose, but it stands up well in lots of different poses, even though it is rather top heavy. This is because the feet are quite big. The level of detail is amazing! Especially amazing considering it has moving parts. Some of the moving parts are spines on its back, and the prongs around the fuel rod gun on its right arm. I made a neat stop motion animation with it, and I didn't have any trouble positioning it the way I wanted too. It is much bigger than the other action figures. I would buy it again, and I may.
