Halo 3 Legendary Collection Brute ChieftainJan 03, 2009
By dalbkino This is the third of the Halo 3 Legendary Collection figures. This is also the only figure that doesn't have an active camo variant.
This is the tallest figure of the Halo 3 Legendary Collection. The Brute stands 6 inches at top of head (7.5 inches at top of headdress)and 8.75 inches at top of raised left arm. Like the other figures this ones format is statue with no movable parts. The Brute is posed with his arms up holding a grav hammer ready to beat down all enemies of the covenant. His facail expression is that of an enraged snarl and his stance is menacingly portrayed.
This figure is accurately detailed and painted. The Brute looks just like the ones from the game. I love the detail and texturing done on these figures. This Brute is particularly colorful with his bright orange and yellow paint on the headdress, shield, and armor.
The base 7.5-inch wide by 4.25-inch deep with pegs for the figure to stand on. Out of the three figures this base's paint job actually looks like rock and is more than just one color.
One of the problems I had with this figure was that the grav hammer came in two parts and is held only by one hand. Sure the shield one the Brute's other hand covers up that he isn't actually holding the upper half of the hammer. The other problem was with the pegs on the base. The Brutes legs weren't spaced properly and I had to force them wider to fit him on the base.
Overall the Brute Chieftain figure looks great and rounds out the collection nicely.
Halo Brute ChieftainMay 24, 2011
By Jackson Sloan Wow !!! I own several Halo collectibles.....just got this one today and there is a new Boss in Town. Some of my other pieces pale in comparison now next to this Brute Chieftain. I have placed him in a very prominent position among the Halo guys to show him off. For anyone wanting to purchase this item.....it is more a statue than some of the other Halo collectibles as they have moving arms and legs where this piece does not. The Brute Chieftain comes with a very nice sturdy stand (why don't more collectibles include stands??) so I won't see him falling over anytime soon. This is really not a toy for children to play with....but it is an outstanding addition for any serious Halo Collector.
