Great, With Some Minor FlawsMar 28, 2008
By Matt Spencer This figure has great detailing and is very poseable. At first some of the joints were a little stiff, especially in the ankles and feet. The head, chestplate, and shoulders are removable so they can be swapped with other figures but at times this can be a little frustrating. While trying to pose the figure the shoulder pieces kept falling off the moment my fingers so much as brushed against them. I recommend removing them before attempting to pose the arms.
The assault rifle and grenade the figure comes with can be attached with pegs to a few points on the Spartan, or held in the hands. While the pegs and peg holes hold them well, the hands are another story. I can get the grenade in the left hand for some poses, but it's better off on the thigh. The rifle is meant to go in the right hand with the left supporting it, but the space between the fingers and thumb on the right hand is so small you need to grab them and force them apart to get the rifle to snap in. Even then the rifle hangs loosely, only held in place by by the spot where the fingers and thumb connect.
I'm just nitpicking now. This is a great toy with a few minor annoyances, but nothing to make me regret buying it. A good addition to any Halo fan's collection.

Not perfect, but coolMar 19, 2008
By Dr. Sparkles Pros: Awesome detailed sculpt; cool paint job; awesome accessories; shoulder plates, chest plate and head can be removed and switched with other figures for custom Spartans; Color scheme is much whiter than it appears in Amazon photos
Cons: Joints feel weak, which makes posability a potential problem; images on Macfarlane's website show grenade stored on back of hip (Amazon images show it on the thigh) but holes on hips are too small to accommodate storage peg; Rifle is a bit loose in Spartan's hands; Proportions might be a little off but looks good overall
Also of note is the fact that while this and the other Spartan figures (excluding Master Chief) have removable armor for customization, there is only one white armored figure so customization options are limited.

Great figure, a little cheap.Apr 29, 2009
By J. LaMere First I'd like to inform anyone thinking of purchasing this figure that the picture shown is with the silver armor color. The actual figure is not lucky enough to look like that. Its actually a flat white color, with steel colored shoulder pieces.
The figure looks great and I have no problems with this one that i dont have with any of the others. All of them are easily breakable, and the weapons are hard to actually hold... So i just attach them to their backs via the pegs.
Other than some mild paint flaws and the cheapness of how they are made, these are fantastic figures. Ive gotten around 13 myself.

Well worth the money.Oct 10, 2008

If you haven't picked up a Spartan from McFarlane's line yet, the Spartan Mk. VI is as great a place as any. The figure has an amazing amount of mobility and articulation for such a detailed figure. The only two drawbacks I had with the figure are the shoulder armor and the weapon. While the torso, helmet, and shoulders can all be swapped out the shoulder plates fall off too easily. As for the weapon, my problem is that it doesn't have more. For a game focusing so much on the weapons it's rather backwards you only get one gun.
Great figure, good value.
