Halo Reflective Helmet BandMar 25, 2004
It is difficult to overstate how unbelievably bright this product is. It also looks fine on your helmet during the day. The problem is that mine lasted about 6 weeks before two problems occurred. First, it lost its elasticity and would not stay on my helmet. Second, the reflective part separated from the neoprene. This product is a great idea, poorlly executed. It's just not going to last you very long at all.

Great product for motorcyclists tooOct 13, 2011
By R. G. Brookman I bought one of these for my cycle helmet many years ago - I think at least 12 years. I rarely wear a helmet cycling, and it has been left in a cupboard for the last 10 years, still stretched round the helmet. Recently I have been looking for some reflective gear to brighten up my motorcycle kit as the dark nights are coming and I remembered this band on my cycle hat. I took it off, expecting it to snap, but it peeled off OK and fitted straight to my motorcycle helmet round the bottom edge. It has lost none of its stretch or brightness and looks fine. In daylight it looks just like a grey stripe in the pattern, but in headlights it's like a striplight. Awesomely bright, and I tested it today to 110 mph (on a closed cicuit, of course) and it stayed in place. It surely can't last much longer, and I am looking for another to replace it. Can't find one in the UK, unfortunately. I'll keep looking, because this product exceeded my expectations by a huge margin. Discreet in the day, bright at night, and it even protects the helmet from bumps and knocks as it is neoprene rubber. Fantastic.

Excellent way to increase visibilityOct 21, 2005
By Browne I've had this product for over 5 years and will purchase another one. It functions great! Cars have no reason not to see me at night. I place it around the lower end of my motorcycle helmet with no problems. Unlike reflective tape, I can remove it anytime and share it between helmets. It's only in the last year that the band doesn't stay on my helmet due to it loosing elasticity and high wind velocity while riding (but what to expect after 5yrs). To solve that problem, I just stuck a few pieces of Velcro to the helmet and the band to hold it in place.
