I got this item and it does not fit in my xbox. Now that I look at the site, the description on the bottom of the page says cord for Playstation 2. Don't buy this for an xbox.

My husband was fixing my sister's XBox, and I didn't know she had sent the power cable! It was faster and just as cheap to order one as to mail it separately, so I ordered this one. It does exactly what it's advertised to do: it powers an original XBox.

This is just your typical IEC 60320 c7 cable, used not only in the xbox but a myriad power-supplies. Official standard name is IEC 60320 c7.

This power cable does exactly what is described. It fit the socket on the back of the original Xbox perfectly. I own a newer XBox 360 but I still have some older games that will only play on the original XBox so I was in dire need of a new cable. My only complaint would be that immediately after I purchased this item for $4.85 I returned to the very page this product was adverised on and almost overnight it dropped to just pennies in price. That kind of aggravated me but I now have my original XBox working like new again so in a nutshell ........ there's happiness in the end !! The shipping from the Amazon seller was very quick I might add.
