Definitely a hitOct 25, 2010
By C. G. King My nine-year-old grandson could barely wait to open this set and could not be lured away once he began assembling it. I certainly scored major points for this present :) He loves the set.
The pieces assemble into the entire Quidditch game set up with the little trunk and various `balls' and several players with capes, bats and brooms, plus the tower and hoops--and I've probably forgotten something.
Some of the pieces are tiny, but he had no trouble assembling them and happily playing the intended game with the players, but then also some other games of his own invention. There is an extra `snitch' (the tiniest of all) which I expect is because that's the key ball and due to its small size, might be easy to lose.
Given the pleasure the set generated, it was money well spent, and I'm sure it would be greatly enjoyed by other Harry Potter fans.

Terrific Lego Harry Potter minifigure setFeb 01, 2011
By Justin Gaines One of the more affordable sets in the Lego Harry Potter line, the Quidditch Match set comes with five minifigures (Harry Potter, Oliver Wood, Draco Malfoy, Marcus Flint and Madame Hooch), plus enough broomsticks, balls and related equipment to set up a proper Lego Quidditch match.
Complexity - The set includes 153 pieces, and is a minifigure set more than anything. The goal hoops and Madame Hooch's platform required my help, but my son put together the minifigures. All told I think we spent 20 minutes putting it all together.
Playability - This was a big hit with my son. He's been watching the first two movies a lot lately, and this set let him recreate the Quidditch scenes. The goals got put aside pretty quickly, but I don't see him getting tired of the minifigures any time soon. We even used the Ron minifigure from the LEGO Harry Potter Hagrid's Hut (4738) (plus Wood's body and the Quidditch helmet) set to make a Ron in Quidditch uniform like he saw in the sixth movie.
This is a terrific Lego Harry Potter set, and a great value for the money (assuming you get it at the suggested retail price). I'd call this a must-have set for any Lego Harry Potter collector, and a great introduction to the line for Harry Potter fans that are new to Lego.

Good Gift!Jan 18, 2011
By J. Boyles Bought this for my nephew! He is 12, and had it together in moments. I do wish I would have bought him something more difficult that he could spend more time on but he loved having it to add to his collection none the less!

Excellent for those who love Harry Potter Lego sets!Jan 13, 2012
By S. Thomas At first I was skeptical about buying a Lego set for my 12-year old daughter, even if it is Harry Potter! However, she bought the deluxe Hogwarts castle with her own money and then I knew she was serious about it. When the next holiday rolled around, I bought this set for her and it looks great alongside the castle. She loves all the figurines that came with it, and they are proudly displayed on her dresser for all to see. Amazon's price is quite good, and the product came quickly as promised.
