5LEGO is still bestMar 07, 2011
By M. Strittmatter
This Lego model of the space shuttle is a great alternative to the more expensive Space Shuttle Adventure. Lego still makes the best, most durable building toys in the world, and their price is certainly justified, still being made in Denmark and not in some factory in China. I was very satisfied with the set, and Lego's customer service is second to none when you have questions or are missing pieces (Which I wasn't this time, but have before). I am very happy with this set, and will make sure my kids have Lego sets when that time comes.

I don't know what the other guy is complaining about, this set came exactly as expected. I looked at the instructions, and the fact that Lego used a COMPUTER GENERATED image to fit a 4 stud bus into a 2 stud cargo bay (At the very END of the instruction booklet, not in the actual instructions section) was just to give the kids (and adults) some fun facts about the size and ability of the REAL Space Shuttle orbiter, a fact that he doesn't mention at all.

Again, this set came exactly as expected, as pictured. I could not have been more happy with the product received. It'll provide many years of enjoyment to kids of all ages, but keep in mind it's more for kids, considering it's simplicity. Still a wonderful set. Stick with LEGO.

5Amazing set!Mar 20, 2011
By Jonathan G. Renshaw
This set is amazing! It was loads of fun to build and has tons of playtime value! My son has put the Shuttle and its crew through several missions. Mostly repairing a satellite or the repairing tiles on the Shuttle itself. And since buying this, my son has had SO many questions about the Space Program. I think this is exactly what NASA was intending when partnering with LEGO. I know one thing is that the consumer is a winner in this partnership!

5Great toy for a 5 year oldApr 14, 2011

I bought this for my son who recently turned 5. He absolutely loves it. It's great. I had to help him put it together, but he loves it. The cargo bay is a bit fiddly to build or use, but the put together is generally quite easy. My son has mastered rebuilding the shuttle when it gets broken on a rough re-entry. It's timely too, given the spate of final STS missions. The cost is quite reasonable as well.

5Excellent setSep 03, 2011
By cholley
I got this set for my 4 yo son during a visit to Kennedy Space Center. We put it together in the hotel room and it was his favorite thing about the whole trip. He still loves to play with it, and has taken it apart and put it together at least half a dozen times. The wing flaps are a little wonky, but otherwise, it is a pretty good design. A five year-old could probably put it together without assistance.
