5Surprisingly FunNov 22, 2011
By Don Anderson
The Lego Alien Conquest theme get's second billing most often to the bigger themes, Star Wars, Harry Potter, Pirates, but this one set is quite cool. My 8 year old had no problem putting it together and spent hours playing with it. His favorite part was to capture any of the many minifigs we have and fly off with them (the legs detach to make the walker a flying saucer). One of the best sets for the money I've seen in a while.

4Alien abducted my dad's boss! (a kid's review)Aug 18, 2011

Fun build, especially if you are into Technic elements. Took less than an hour and fairly straight forward. Lots of playability. Detachable saucer with a prisoner pod. Love the alien clinger. Unfortunately the alien clinger has to be removed because the businessman is a snug fit in the pod. The tripod actually moves quite well. Too many stickers. My dad's old Lego has printed on bricks that look so much better.

The elements are very cool to make your own spaceship!

5hours and hours of imaginationDec 07, 2011
By Eva Lyford "literate diva"
My son got this set first as his intro to the alien conquest series and loves it best. He has built and reconfigured it numerous times and it is always featured in his imaginary play (I find it quite amusing when the aliens attack the castle series characters myself. Have you ever seen a knight fend off a clinger? A catapult vs. a spaceship? You have not truly given free reign to your inner Master Builder until you see Predator vs. Sir Gawain).

4girls like aliens tooDec 01, 2011

Got this for my 10 year old daughter, she loves it. The Alien set is her favorite collection. It would have been nice to be able to keep the alien on the the mans head while he was in the ship, but the man is to tall with the alien.
