 Great item, but the priceNov 21, 2011

This is a great LEGO set. For all it's small size, there are some nice details. The LEGO mini-kits are really impressive. Plus, they are much simpler to put together. My 4-year-old can do a mini-kit like this in less than 10 minutes.
The problem is the price. This one is the cheapest mini-kit I've seen on Amazon at more than nine dollars.
Seriously, I but these all the time at my local grocery store for less than four dollars. I really don't understand it, they can't be that rare if they are at the local grocery store.
I was going to buy a bunch of these for stocking stuffers, but not at these prices.

Although my 7 year old grandson has several huge Lego Star Wars sets (including the Death Star), he loves getting the mini sets as small surprises I tuck away for him to find. While he builds them easily and quickly they are wonderful to bring along in a car or to an appointment, to help his imagination keep boredom at bay! His 4 year old sister also loves the mini sets, in part because, once built, they are easy for little hands to "play" with.
