My son specifically asked for a Lego Star Wars set that included the Super Battle Droid. This was the one that showed up on the Lego website where it is offered for $29.99. I do not understand why Amazon is listing it for $43+. Some have complained that $29.99 is too high for the number of pieces in this kit; think about it...it's not the pieces it's the minifigures! There are 5 in this kit. Normally you would pay $15 just to get 4 minifigs.

My grandson is a Star Wars nut. And at 12 does not seem to be outgrowing it. He gives me an Amazon list for birthday and Chanukah each year and I can just close my eyes and put my finger on one and it is always "just the right one". Sometimes I think they are too hard -- but they never are -- the ones I think are too easy, he makes it then tears it apart and uses the thousands of pieces he has and creates something totally different. Good sturdy, good for the imagination toys.

The swamp speeder is mediocre as a toy, though Lego managed to make it much cooler with its engineering that makes the position of the engine change the position of the front wheels for realistic forward movement. The thing that annoys me is that the tiny/thin free-rolling wheels cause it to roll unexpectedly on a non-level surface. But if your shelves are level, it will display quite nicely.

Purchased this item a few days ago at Toys R Us, not Amazon. The Bariss Offee minifig is a cool one to have. Other than that, though, this isn't so great. It is definitely NOT worth the $29.99 MSRP. It didn't take more than 20 minutes or so to put it together and the final product is extremely tiny. Makes me question how they come up with the prices for these things. Luke's landspeeder (8092) looks just as big, comes with better minifigs, and is $5 cheaper. That's definitely a better buy.
