Fun for the older crowd. Not meant to be played withJan 27, 2009

I got this when i turned 13 and it was amazingly fun. The fact that it had so many pieces was the best part and was pretty much the main reason why i got it. I never liked Star Wars so much so that i needed Princess Leia's ship, i really wanted the X-Wing but it was out of stock at the time. The only thing i hated was the rear engines in the back because they would constantly fall off due to the fact that the inserts that held them in place where horizontal rather than vertical so there was less support. This is not for younger kids, go by the age recommendation relatively speaking consider this was i believe 16+ an i had just turned 13.
If your kid likes Legos a lot and they can finish one in a mater of hours then this one would be a fun challenge for them. I, at the time, got it for about $300ish but i believe this is now discontinued so the price above seems about right.
