Knowing this was going to be a hot item this holiday season, I bought both Lalaloopsy Silly Hair dolls for each of my daughters. I bought them on sale, so price-wise Amazon loses to a big box store, but I'm not grading Amazon. While this doll is bigger and not nearly as fashion forward as a Barbie, Moxie or Liv doll, it is going to last FOREVER. My 5 year old has shown this doll a beating, and it still looks like new. The "hair" is plastic rods that bend which is actually marvelous for a doll because fine haired dolls rarely stay looking nice - Miss Lalaloopsy doesn't have that problem. In all, while the price on Amazon has spiked just in time for the holiday buying frenzy, it is still a fantastic toy.

I thought my daughter (4) would LOVE this toy for Christmas, but she was disappointed because instead of wearing a cute dress like the regular one, she was in overalls. The hair is cute and fun to play with, but the hair clips don't stay put and are a bit of a nuisance for her. She prefers the cheaper version.

My 6 yr old daughter loves the toy, so it's successful.
But something has to change with respect to the toy packaging insanity. Spending 10 minutes or more with scissors and a knife just to get it out of the tape, wire, tape, plastic, tape, cardboard, tape, madness is beyond annoying.
Enough with ridiculous Chinese toy packaging. Enough! I have better things to do with my time.

This toy is a very hard to find item this season because just about every little girl is hoping to find one underneath their tree Christmas morning. It was exactly what I expected it to be when I finally managed to get my hands on one for my little girl. I will say that I did not purchase the doll through Amazon because the third party prices were WAY more than what I was willing to pay for the doll. I got the doll through a local Walmart store. Yes, like all of the others the doll is out of stock on Walmart's website is as well. So, please check the shelves of your local stores regularly selling the Lalaloopsy dolls before buying from a third party seller who may have the price of the doll majorly raised up. If you manage to find the doll at a reasonable retail price then it is definitely worth the money.

I love this doll, I bought this for my 5 years old daughter, but this doll is so heavy, she could not take this to anywhere.
This flexible hair is so unique, but this wired hair will snap, sooner or later.
