The Lalaloopsy dolls are just magnificent. They are so reminiscent of the old "Rag Dolls" that I used to play with as a young girl. They are plastic, but don't let that fool you into thinking they aren't lovable. They are precious. Lalaloopsy Suzette La Sweet is so perfect with her pink dress and large button eyes and matching pup. She just brings a smile to my face! I have purchased a few of these for Christmas presents for my 4 year old niece as well as for my 6 year old niece. Both girls love these cuties. They are very durable, have clothes and accessories that can be purchased for each doll as well as Lalaloopsy chapter books and coloring books. They are also incredible to have for a daycare setup since they are SO EASY to lysol clean and disinfect. I think they are perfect for little imaginations...almost a flashback to the 50's when all the girls loved their little dolls with button eyes and single line smiles!

Suzette La Sweet is my 5 year-old's third Lalaloopsy doll, and she really loves her! For those unfamiliar with the product line, Lalaloopsies are large, hard-plastic dolls made to resemble old-fashioned rag dolls. On the positive side, being all plastic, they are easy to clean, easy to dress, hard to break, and never get tangled hair. On the negative side, they are quite top-heavy and not at all cuddly. My daughter doesn't seem to mind that, though, as she still takes her favorite one to bed with her every night.
Suzette La Sweet has glittery white hair with pink bows. She comes wearing high-quality, beautifully made clothes, as do all of the Laloopsies, including a poofy french-maid style dress, lace-topped stockings, and the cutest little blue shoes. The best part about her, in my opinion, is that her shoes and stockings do a pretty good job of staying on... some of our other Lalaloopsy dolls have shoes and socks that constantly fall off, and that's no fun for anyone! Suzette is definitely one of the most frilly, princess-like dolls in this year's Laloopsy collection and I think a good choice for anyone with a girly-girl like mine.

This doll is really pretty however the one I received had permanent black marks on the face. I exchanged it and the one I got in return doesn't have the black marks but has some visable glue on the hair. Not a big deal for a toy but since it's supposed to be a collector's item, I would have expected much higher quality from the manufacturer.

I remember the days when my mom would say "Is this for me or for you?" when I would give her Christmas gifts (ok, it's not real nice to say that). Buying this lalaloopsy doll is risking getting the same comment from my daughter.
Why moms love it: Original, creative and adorable! Easy to clean and sturdy.
Why girls may not love it: Don't sit up easily. Top heavy. Plastic.
TO tell the truth my daughter really does like her Lalaloopsy. Just saying the name "Lalaloopsy" is fun! But it's not the doll she grabs first. It's just a little awkward compared to her smaller toys. That said, she does love her mini Lalaloopsies. And she really loves her big Lalaloopsy, too. Since she doesn't play with her larger "baby doll size" dolls as much in general, then I feel like it's on par with those.
I love seeing Lalaloopsy on my daughters toy shelf. It's just so cute and girlie. Just as decoration alone! Sure, they could have used real buttons for the eyes, but then there would be the choking hazard. And if her face would have been made of fabric, then it would be harder to clean and less sturdy.
Do you think they're adorable? then, they're worth it. If you can buy two, try a full-size and a mini size set and see which your child prefers.

What a pretty addition to the Lalaloopsy family. My daughter has several, and this one really shines. Its a combination of her pearly hair color, victorian French outfit and cute poodle. I would almost consider this a collector series. Anyways, for those not familiar with the Lalaloopsy dolls, the are very poseable, have interchangeable outfits, and numerous accessories available. The only negative about these dolls are their large heavy heads. Thats my opinion, though my daughter has never compalned about that issue and she just adores them. They're ultra girly and make wonderful special occassion gifts.
