Although this is one of the cutest "LPS" figures I have ever seen, it has the fake fur/fuzziness thing goin' on, and he's looking a little dreadful due to his coat fallin' off. I would suggest waiting for Hasbro to release a non-furry, affordable version (I am stating "affordable" here because the only other meerkat I have seen in person was at Walmart on sale for $15.00 due to the fact that it came with a "LPS" carrying case, which you can view here on Amazon. I saw the one with the carrying case in Nov. 2010, so it still might be at Walmart. That meerkat is non-furry.) My daughter has owned the furry meerkat for about a year now. He is not a favorite, so I would think that his wear-and-tear would be more minimal, but alas, this little guy has the mange.

My daughter is an avid Meerkat lover so of course she immediately adored her new little critter. We were just thrilled to be able to find it for her. Kids love these Littlest Pet Shops. My children will sit and play with them for hours! It's a great source of pretend fun and imagination.
