The pink, mint green, and purple characters in this collection are great! They're cute - they harmonize well and are generally fun. BUT the blue one is OUT OF TUNE from the rest. If you know music, pink, green and purple are in a key that's a half step higher than blue. If you don't know music, this means that when you play the blue toys with the others, it sounds less like the Beach Boys and more like a few children playing violin for the first time - not so pleasing to the ears. Enjoy the other three, but avoid the light blue.

I wanted not to like these things, because they're weird looking, but I find myself playing with them every chance I get. Each differently colored animal, when you squeeze them emits an "Ohhhh" sound of a different pitch. Together, they harmonize. Each time you squeeze them, there is a different note sounded. You really need more than one to get the fun effect. I was thinking these would be perfect for grandparents to give to sets of grandchildren (or nieces/nephews/siblings/whatever) so they could be played with together. They don't do anything else, but what they DO is really fun. I'm not sure why. You'll be disappointed with just one, though, because you can't hear the harmony. I've seen them at Toys R Us and Target both for 12.99.

I'm not even a little kid and I find these toys so adorable. I got this hot pink toy at CVS yesterday. My mom, my sister and I were going to go see a movie, and we stopped at CVS real quick. I'd seen the Sing-A-Mi-Jig on TV and I tried squeezing it's belly. So cute! Soon each of us had a toy in our hands and we were harmonizing in the middle of the aile. If you squeeze it's hand twice then press it's belly it'll sing. This one sings A Tiskit A Tasket. Took me a few minutes to find out what song it was. Each one sings only one song, but I know that one will sing Oh He's A Jolly Good Fellow, and another one It's Raining It's Pouring.
So much fun!

I got this hot pink sing-a-ma-jig to go with the mint green doll because this one has a medium tone while minty has a low voice, and they make a good pair. I think this one is fun and interesting and it is really a striking and pretty raspberry color in real life. If you want to make a kid laugh though, at least my child likes the low voiced a tad better. However, the song mode on this one is clearer and sounds better due to the medium pitch.

Cute idea. Must have more than 1 to really be effective. Listed for 3-5 year olds, but it's hard for them to push hard enuf to get them to sing.
