Their zany looks are unique to them and when they sing you cant resist when their little mouths open wide for each note! Every Singamajig has three modes of play where they chatter, sing their own song, or sing in harmony with their other Singamajig friends! In chatter mode they speak their own language full of jibber and jabbers. For their own take on musical tunes just try song mode where you control the pace of the song. But, the Singamajigs enjoy nothing more than singing together! In harmonizing mode each Singamajig sings a scale in a pitch specific to that character (some high, some low!) and will always harmonize with each other perfectly every time. The more you collect, the larger the chorus, the better they sound! | | | Features: | |

Love these guys.Oct 08, 2010

"Mom of 4"
Despite the recommended age, Sing-a-ma-jigs are fun for all ages. Actually I have personally found that older kids and adults enjoy these little guys more than the preschool crowd. They are very addictive too. The Mint Green plays "It's Raining, It's Pouring" and has the deepest tones of the 9 current Sing a ma jigs available.

Fun to play, but small hands to be carefulDec 02, 2010
By Suzanne O. So I finally got one of these! I'm writing a review on the Mint one because that is the one my mom got for herself (haha, I know right?) and she loves it because it has the deepest 'voice' and is charming. I myself have the red one with the orange mouth that sings Yankee Doodle. We were giggling in the store and trying all the different colored characters. It was hard for us to pick just one to take home each. So far we haven't grown bored with them, though we both get the impulse to play with them at the worst times (early morning or late at night).
PLEASE BE AWARE OF THIS: The Sing-a-ma-jigs have two tiny plastic teeth inside their mouths. One top, one bottom like a hamster. I am inherently stupid and was curious and put my finger inside the Sing-a-ma-jigs open mouth. I then let go and the mouth closed. Needless to say it wasn't an entirely pleasant experience. I got slightly pinched when the mouth closed. PLEASE BE AWARE THAT KIDS ARE MORE PRONE TO PUT THEIR FINGERS IN THE TOY'S MOUTH. I was so surprised to find out about the teeth this way, they're not very visible. The mouth is easy to reopen (for me), but for a small child's hands they may not be.
As this is a singing toy and the sound comes from the mouth, kids might be attracted to poking around it (like me hurrr). It's a charming toy for little ones, but I can see how it appears to older children.
A word of advice: Don't buy these from amazon. It's odd how Amazon has each color at a different price. My mother and I bought ours on sale at Shop Rite (random, I know) for about 10 dollars each. I heard the average in other stores is about 12. If you plan on buying these as a gift, try getting at least two! One is fun to play with, but getting two to harmonize together is a blast (even better with three or more).

The adults will want to play! This one has a LOW voice. :)Nov 21, 2010
By L. Perry ALL Singamajigs are great! And a little bit addicting.... They should be educational, musically. You can play with the rhythms of the song--by recreation or experimentation. And these are FAR less annoying (and far more interactive) than toys that simply sing inanely whether a child is paying attention to them or not. They are adorable; did I mention that they have teeth? This little minty green one has one of the lower voices, and sings "It's raining, it's pouring, the old man is snoring." Adorable.

Too Cute! Better as a GroupMar 17, 2011
By K. Groh Watch Video Here: http://www.amazon.com/review/R3JHVYGEK98VZH My six-year-old daughter and I were at another store when we first saw these. Her music teacher has some in her classroom so my daughter was familiar with them. I am late to the party on these but fell in love right away.
They are funny looking stuffed animals that in and of themselves, aren't much to look at. But when you squeeze their belly, you can't help but smile. They each have an set of 5 notes that they sing as well as a gibberish talk and a song specific to the color of the Sing-a-ma-jig.
This one sings It's Raining, It's Pouring. Granted, their singing is in a very stilted, one syllable at a time style but they are still fun to listen to. This one has a very deep voice and reminds me of the character Froggy in Little Rascals that had the deep voice.
The problem is that once you have one, they need company. They are best in groups when they can harmonize with each other. When they sing as a group, (notes, not songs) they seem to be a child's barbershop quartet of harmony. It is fun listening to how they best go together (lowest note all together or mix them up?). The choice is yours to play around and find that combination that makes them sound perfect together.
Their little terry cloth mouths open into a big 'O' when they sing showing off their little white teeth inside.
They seem like such a nothing toy but they are really the kind of thing that puts a smile on your face when you need it most.
