Their zany looks are unique to them and when they sing you can't resist when their little mouths open wide for each note! Every Sing-a-ma-jig has three modes of play where they chatter, sing their own song, or sing in harmony with their other Sing-a-ma-jig(tm) friends! In chatter mode they speak their own language full of jibber and jabbers. For their own take on musical tunes just try song mode where you control the pace of the song. But, the Sing-a-ma-jigs(tm) enjoy nothing more than singing together! In harmonizing mode each Sing-a-ma-jig(tm) sings a scale in a pitch specific to that character (some high, some low!) and will always harmonize with each other perfectly every time. The more you collect, the larger the chorus, the better they sound! - Product Measures: varied - 2.5" x 7.5" x 10"

Really cuteSep 25, 2010

In response the only other review I think if it was moaning it was because the batteries were low. That has been my experience with these. Otherwise they are cute and you can hear what they say fine. They have 3 functions but the one harmonizing notes with other Singamajigs is so so cute. You press one and it starts on a note and when you press the other doll, it changes pitch to be in harmony. Really cute idea and one that has intrigued all the kids in my house from 4 to 17. I think even the 17 yo and myself played with them more!

They make me giggleNov 22, 2010
By Hot Flashes We originally thought they were a baby toy until I picked one up in the store and squeezed it. OMG I couldn't stop giggling. I picked one up for each member of the family. If you're having a bad day a little tummy squeeze will make you smile. Their mouths open and you can see a little tongue and little teeth as they sing, jabber or make sounds. Too cute!
I picked ours up at a local popular store for under ten bucks each. I heard they were one of the "hot" toys for this Christmas season. We're already ahead of the game and enjoying every second of these.
My daughter brought hers to school and it was the teachers, not the kids, who found it enjoyable. I've had a couple email me asking where I purchased them so they can get them for themselves or someone on their shopping list.
They're kind of stupid looking but as soon as you squeeze them, they become irrestible. The ones with the deep voices totally crack me up.
We have a red, pink, pastel green and this purple one.

DelightfulSep 29, 2010
By B. Lincoln I was able to play with several different ones. They all sing a different song. We had the most fun when we took 2 of the same color and song and had them sing together. They harmonize that way also. Very entertaining for the little ones when handled by an adult. Under 18 months may have difficulty pressing their tummy's to make the sounds. I highly recommend these cute toys. I just wish the ads included what song they sing and a sample of it. Some are high notes and other are low.

Too Cute! Better as a GroupMar 17, 2011
By K. Groh Watch Video Here: http://www.amazon.com/review/R3FS7SMR7C94HQ My six-year-old daughter and I were at another store when we first saw these. Her music teacher has some in her classroom so my daughter was familiar with them. I am late to the party on these but fell in love right away.
They are funny looking stuffed animals that in and of themselves, aren't much to look at. But when you squeeze their belly, you can't help but smile. They each have an set of 5 notes that they sing as well as a gibberish talk and a song specific to the color of the Sing-a-ma-jig.
This one sings Oh Susanna. Granted, their singing is in a very stilted, one syllable at a time style but they are still fun to listen to.
The problem is that once you have one, they need company. They are best in groups when they can harmonize with each other. When they sing as a group, (notes, not songs) they seem to be a child's barbershop quartet of harmony. It is fun listening to how they best go together (lowest note all together or mix them up?). The choice is yours to play around and find that combination that makes them sound perfect together.
Their little terry cloth mouths open into a big 'O' when they sing showing off their little white teeth inside.
They seem like such a nothing toy but they are really the kind of thing that puts a smile on your face when you need it most.

Too cute!Nov 27, 2010
By godive I'm a baby boomer and saw these on a talk show a few weeks ago. I just had to have one and I now own 4. I don't have any kids but I did buy a few for nieces and nephews for Christmas. When I'm having a "bad day" I just pick one up and squeeze. You can't help but smile. I even got my girlfriend hooked on these.
