This car is loads of fun for pretend play, as well as introducing to a child who loves toys that make sounds. My 1 year old daughter loves this toy, and it works well since she tends to shake and throw things. It has withstood some abuse, and still runs like a champ.
One problem: This arrives in the package in the ON position. We bought it as a birthday gift, and even the vibrations from walking near it would set it off. The worst part is, you can't turn it OFF until you remove it from the package! Not good if you are trying to keep the present a surprise for an older child, or for battery life.

"Illuminator"
My grandkids really enjoy this toy. The harder you shake it the farther it goes. I got two of them so the children will race them and see who wins. The only drawback is that it takes batteries and they need to be replaced fairly often.

Bought this for my 18-month-old grandson. It's easy for him to make it go since he can just shake it. We've had fun together playing with this car.

Our 20 month year old loves this toy. Its easy enough for him to operate and with adult operation makes it over 10ft. It rumbles when you shake it and now he can't sop rumbling when we see a car on the street! Has some "cause and effect" educational value, well built and probably fun for a variety of ages.
