3Life-like but awkwardMay 13, 2009

The first thing I want to say about this figure is that it looks exactly like Karl Urban. There is no mistaking who it is meant to be. And that is probably it's most positive feature.

All in all, these figures are not as well made as the line of Star Wars figures put out by Hasbro. They're close to the same size but they're more cheaply made and have less range of motion than the Hasbro line.

Dr. McCoy comes with a hypospray and a data board. He holds both reasonably well. He also comes with a belt and a phaser. The belt slides on easily but since his hips are very narrow and he's very thin, it doesn't sit snugly on his hips. The phaser fits snugly into the belt and he can hold it easily enough even without the rubber band.

But there are problems with McCoy. First of all, one leg is longer than the other. At least, on the figure I purchased. I tried pushing and pulling on his legs to try to get them to match but it seems to be a construction problem. As a result, he doesn't stand very well. If you do not have his legs in precisely the right position, he falls over.

Another problem is that on my figure, his hips don't bend. One does, a little. The other is so stiff I'm afraid it will break if I try. I've never had this problem with a Hasbro Star Wars figure. As a result, Bones cannot sit at any console, including the one he comes with. His elbows are jointed but also very stiff, as are his knees.

1The "cake" isn't the only thing that's a lie.Jul 13, 2010

I really only have one thing to say about this figure. The title and the description (several places in the description actually) label this as a six inch action figure. I tend to try to buy all of my figures in that same 1:12 scale so that no matter the series they look good on shelves or photographed/filmed together. The actual figure that you receive is not 6" but 3 3/4" (think tiny G.I. Joe or Star Wars sized). How it could be mislabled that badly by mistake? I do not know.

43.75" Spock Action FigureJul 16, 2011

Spock is perhaps the most iconic figure from the Star Trek franchise, yet he is also one of the most difficult action figures to find. I wish toy manufacturers would make the popular characters in larger numbers than all the secondary ones.

My son was pleased to finally get the Spock character to add to the rest of them.

No, I'm not a kid, but I do collect Star Trek items. I couldn't pass up the price. I may not buy all the products in the series, but I will now have the three main characters.

5ST Action FigureFeb 14, 2011
By J. Beneda "Classic movie fan"
Bought a Bridge of the Starship Enterprise as a Christmas gift for a ST Trekkie. Wanted to add the ST figures from the new movie to make it complete. Was surprised to find them on Amazon, so I ordered different ones to make the set complete. I was surprised to find how quickly they were sent and in what great condition. I really appreciate that.
