1Nice toy - broke immediately!Jan 14, 2010
By Jason Thomas
We liked everything about this toy - my 6 year old son was thrilled to get it - until it broke! Flimsy brittle plastic broke Christmas morning with minimal normal play. It's OK until you try to transform it - the wing broke right off. The piece that holds the cockpit cover glass broke as well. VERY disappointing. If he had played with it more I'm sure it would have broken other places as well. He would love to have a more durable replacement, but there's no way to know if that even exists. I have since seen other reviews on this toy stating the same problem. I have checked the Hasbro website and I can't find any info or recalls etc. It's listed as in stock again on Amazon, but now at twice the price (??) But since it looks exactly the same, there's no way to know if they re-released this toy with more sturdy plastic. If anyone has any info on that, please post it. It's doubtful, so I'll probably do a refund this time. Too bad.

2Cheap plasticJan 30, 2010
By Chris A. Atkin
My children have wanted transformers for a while now, and this is the second attempt at finding a toy I cherished as a child. Unfortunately, the new transformers are made out of plastic instead of metal and the pieces break off if you look at them funny. First Bumble Bee, now Luke. Very sad day for those who want a toy that will last.

Great idea, poorly made.

This is super flimsy and difficult even for us to transform ~ there's no way our son would be able to on his own. I am very disappointed in this Hasbro toy. Was it truly ever tested in the 'real' world?
