Somewhat disapointingJul 22, 2010 My grandson loves his Thomas track and he really likes "hills", so I thought this would be a good addition. Unfortunately there are a couple of big problems with this set.
1. The slopes up to the next level are not gradual enough, so trains going up the hill will lift cars in the middle off the track; which then tip over and derail.
2. If you stack the risers, the clearance isn't quite enough for an engine coming up the lower hill to not hit its funnel, or roof of its cab, on the ceiling of the "tunnel", where it then gets stuck.
So the risers should be a bit taller and the slopes a bit more gradual before this would be a really nice addition to your Thomas track.

Little builder loves itJul 07, 2010 Another Thomas hit, the Up and Away Exansion pack includes two Stacking Risers--my son's new obsession. He likes to build the track higher and higher these days (he's 5, and has been playing with Thomas stuff since he could crawl). He prefers the floor over using his Thomas table. The risers and other tracks allow for new creative options.

Quirky add onMar 19, 2010 I was a little disappointed with this set. The elevation change is nice but as someone else pointed out there are more track pieces that rise than there are risers. Also, a couple of the pieces had wood that looked poor quality. The wood looked either slightly charred or just defective. It doesn't affect operation just aesthetics, I'll get a picture at some point to demonstrate this.

Grandma's little boys' trainsFeb 06, 2010 We got this to expand our grandsons' existing set and they loved it. The only problem was we couldn't figure out how to fit in on the play table we had, so that will have to be expanded too. They love to play with it and it encourages their imagination!
Great gift for GrandsonDec 13, 2009 I cannot even imagine what a wonderful toy this would be.
My two year old Grandson was more than delighted.
