Kids love it, but again sadly missing one important aspectMay 29, 2011
By Rayaz Purchased this to add to the only bridge my kid had which came as part of track kit. The Take-n-play portable bridge is nice, and the ability to switch at both ends makes this bridge ideal to create very different tracks. However the packaging it comes is about 2.5 times the size of the folded bridge!
However the two red legs that hold the bridge seems a tad too narrow and will not survive any tough use, specially someone mistakenly stepping on it! The biggest gripe i had state was again based on the issue the youngster faced. He loves making tracks that go under a bridge, and these red legs sadly have been designed to make the track portable (nicely folds so that its the same size as the bridge track), but the designer has forgotten that when setup is not high enough to let an engine go on a track below this bridge!
I seriously wonder if the designers of the new generation of Toys for the Thomas line are actually tested from a child's usage view, as this is the second new (to the Thomas toys sold) toy that i got that has simple design problems that the young chap himself indicated when he was playing.

Not tall enoughMar 28, 2011
By Adams Family This piece is a nice addition to the take-n-play sets. It unfolds and folds easily, and doesn't collapse when my sons are playing with it. The problem is that it is not tall enough to put track under the bridge. This could have easily been solved, it seems, by making it about 1/4 of an inch higher. This is a shame because it really limits how you attach it.

A bridge too low...Jan 21, 2012
By Dragondelpaz Warning: this bridge is too low.
They've designed the red legs a little too short. You can't make another track go under it cause the trains hit the bridge.
This is a pretty fundamental error. What's the point of a bridge if you can't make other tracks go under it? All of the Fisher Price Take n Play tracks sets seem to suffer from this. It's almost as if they haven't actually tested them? Or the designers don't actually play with or understand train track sets?
We want better Thomas toys!!!!
MUCH ANTICIPATED ADDITION... couldn't WAIT to get it!Dec 23, 2011
By Grandma Zizzy Prior to going into detail about this Bridge Track, a little of our own "Thomas" history... As first time grandparents, my husband and I wanted to start some type of collection for our grandson that he could possibly pass along to his own kids one day. Our grandson was 2 1/2 at the time, and had been talking a lot about a certain train named Thomas (a little fella whom - now hard to believe! - we'd never heard of.) After doing some research, it seemed the Take-n-Play line might be the perfect investment to engage and encourage his active imagination, as well as provide a fun way for us to interact with him. What a rewarding decision... we've had SO much fun together with this quality line of trains, vehicles and playsets, and now a new bridge to help connect them! As he approaches 4, a large portion of our basement has become a wonderful Sodor land of make believe that we all enjoy visiting - and continues to hold his interest, which is quite a feat given the tendency at that age to move in and out of toy phases so quickly!
With the sprawling spread of 21 Take-n-Play playsets in my basement, this Bridge track pack has added a fun new way to connect some of them! A lever at each end of this bridge track can be flipped for your little one's trains to go in different directions - a total of 4 places to hook it up to playsets or additional track! One of 3 new track packs (this one, in addition to the S-Curve and Flexi-Track) on Fisher-Price's 2011 Collectors Checklist, they are a much needed addition to the Take-n-Play line, and with a March 2012 MSRP of $11.00 each, I feel they're worth the price. There's also a Straight & Curved Track pack that wasn't on the Checklist but has been helpful as well!

Take-n-Play BridgeMar 18, 2011
By annaj1976 We purchased the Take-n-Play Bridge for our 2 1/2 year old daughter. She already has the Misty Island track set as well as Cranky at the Docks and the Sodor Rock Quarry Set. Next we bought two extra track sets, that came with straight and curved tracks. We figured the bridge would be a nice addition.
Our daughter does like the bridge. It's a nice buy and the price of $9.99 is fair. The only thing is, the picture here on Amazon makes it appear a little bit bigger than it is, a bit taller. It's still a great buy and a great addition if your child has Thomas tracks and other track/play sets.
