The Masters of Metallikato exclusive of Autobot Whirl vs. Decepticon Bludgeon is 100% one of the best! This exclusive containes two of the best quality transformers in the entire ROTF line of transformers.First off you get Decepticon Bludgeon which is deluxe size and is bad-ass in either robot or Personnel Carrier Mode.Bludgeon has great detail in vehicle mode with a realistic paint job and no clutter underneath. In robot mode Bludgeon has awesome articulation in the legs, arms, body and head piece. This bad boy has some sweet features as well with sping loaded blades and an extending cannon so he can take any autobot down up close or from a distance. The poseability is outstanding with great stability for creating battle poses or displaying where you please. The durability is excellent as well with secure joints and a solid build in either robot or Presonnel Carrier Mode. Now you have Autobot Whirl which has awesome detail in either mode as well.Whirl has awesome articulation in the legs, arms, body, and head piece in robot mode while also having great detail in the Sikorsky Pave Low Helicopter Mode.Whirl has the same body mold as Blackout,Grindor, and Evac.If you have any of these other transformers then you will already know how to handle Whirl. The Sikorsky Pave Low Helicopter is as realistic as it gets while also featuring the spinning blades which are controlled by a button at the back of the helicopter. There is also a raft that can drop from the cargo door and converts to a blaster for use in robot mode. The spinning blades can also be mounted on Whirl to be used as weapons in robot mode as well. The poseability of Whirl is outstanding with great stability for creating battle poses or displaying where you please. The durability is excellent as well with secure joints and a solid build in either robot or Sikorsky Pave Low Helicopter Mode. The transformation level is advanced meaning if you have plenty of experience with transformers there is mid-level difficulty. If you are a parent buying for a child of 5-6 or younger you will have to help some in the process. The Master of Metallikato can be a challenging set for the younger ages.If you want two of the best transformers around, this is the set to get and is well worth it.Bottom line Whirl vs. Bludgeon is a well-made,high quality,10 out of 10 transformer exclusive that all transformer fans will enjoy.I highly recommend Whirl vs. Bludgeon to all transformer fans and collectors out there.Master of Metallikato Rocks and Transformers Rule!!!
They're nice... once they stop being pain.Jun 04, 2011
By Erailea Parents be warned. Attaching Whirl's helicopter blade pack is a royal pain in the butt... at least it was on mine. The piece doesn't really need to come off again once attached, but getting it attached in the first place was a struggle. I thought I was going to break thing... which just goes to show how sturdy the figure is because there wasn't the faintest hint of crack after I was done fighting with it.
Both figures are fun once you figure them out (there's always that "ah...?" moment when you first open them because you have to learn how to transform them). Both figures have small weapons (Bludgeon are nicely sized when not folded up though), so keep that in mind if you have little kids. For collectors, both have compartments in their alt modes for the weapons to be safely store. Typical of Transformers with this many pieces, some parts can pop off during transformation, but they go back on pretty easily.
Over all, after my frustrations with Whirl's blade pack subsided, I was happy I purchased them.
