Transformers Autobot Ark is one very cool Spaceship/Space station! This is a great overall quality transforming playset that is perfect for all ages. The Autobot Ark in Spaceship Mode has very realistic movie detail along with lights and sounds. It also features two missiles that are packaged along with the Cyberverse Roller figure.Only one of the missiles fire which I will admit is kinda weird, but this dosen't take away from how cool the Autobot Ark is.The Space Station mode is one of the coolest as well that features a moving repair platform, decepticon prison cell, launching ramp, lifting pillars, pull down platform, and a rotating twin pulse cannon in the center of the Space Station. This is one playset with plenty of features that will keep all of your cyberverse legion/commander class transformers busy with non-stop action and fun.The Autobot Ark also comes with and updated version of Roller.Roller is made very well with ball joint construction and is easy to transform. Most ages should be able to handle the process with ease. The Autobot Ark itself is also easy to transform. The process involves three steps.First just lift up the cockpit. The wings then fold outwards as the cockpit and middle section of the spaceship rotates straight up.Now you have the Space Station mode.If you are a parent buying for a child of 5-6 or older they should be able to handle the process with ease. Also this is as perfect option for a child that wants a cool transformer toy that is very unique and will bring hours of fun with their other cyberverse transformers. For collectors The Autobot Ark makes a awesome display piece. The Ark is constructed very well overall with secure parts. The durability is excellent as well with a solid build whether in Spaceship or Space Station Mode. The Autobot Ark is great for fans that are just getting into transformers or fans that have loved transformers since the G1 days.Bottom line Autobot Ark is a well-made,high quality,10 out of 10 product that all fans will enjoy.I highly recommend Autobot Ark to all transformer fans and collectors out there.Autobot Ark Rocks and Transformers Rule!!!

A bit of fun, but mostly nostalgiaSep 14, 2011
By Vivek Gupta I selected this toy because I have fond memories of the Transformers from the 80s. My daughter (9) doesn't share these memories but I thought it might still be fun. First impressions were that the toy is a lot smaller than I expected, seems kind of flimsy and the little Transformer that comes along is pretty lame. So while exploring the features with my daughter the findings were that the small transformer is lame (doesn't hold it's transforms well and seems fragile). The ship on the other hand is small, but with the sound effects and various moving parts was actually fun to play with and what my daughter spent time trying out. It seems that most likely this will be used with either toy cars or small dolls (alien abductions?) than with the actual Transformer that came with it. I do wish the toy was made a bit more durable (and large enough to hold larger Transformers) and that the Transformer that came along was built better.
I'm sure my daughter will get some use out of it and then maybe it will make its way to my office as decoration. If your child is into Transformers I'm sure they'll enjoy it, though for the size the price seems to be a bit high and the build quality a little low.

A great Transformer for younger kids!Sep 12, 2011
By Mom22boys The Transformers: Dark of the Moon - Autobots and Autobot Ark is a fantastic starter Transformer! We are just starting to get into transformers and my older boy (age 6) has a more complicated one and they are always asking me to perform the million steps (it seems) to get it to transform. This transformer is not so complicated. The ship flips and pulls out easily to transform into a space station and the little transformer man can be made into a vehicle without too many steps! There are not any little pieces to lose and it is pretty cool that the transformer man can ride inside the ship.
It does require batteries to make it make noise, but are not really necessary. I would buy another one like this as a gift for a 4 or 5 yr old in a heartbeat!

My son loves it.Aug 25, 2011
By Eric Slay My son really has been enjoying the Autobot Ark. Here's what *I* like about it:
It transforms pretty easily - you just pull on each wing and it pretty much changes shape all by itself.
It comes with a transformer guy so my son was able to start playing with it right away.
There is a lot of detail in its construction, which I'm sure helps with his imaginative play.
Here are some (minor) cons:
The character that comes with it transforms into some kind of lunar rover or something, but it's pretty lame.
The set has two laser canons on the front, but only one of them fires. I was just designed that way, but my son finds it weird that one of them "doesn't work"
---
Overall, I think this is a great toy that any Transformers fan would enjoy.

Great toy for anybody that likes space, robots, or fun!Aug 02, 2011
By John D. Jayroe I have to admit it, I love playsets or bases. In the Transformer universe there are not very many. TRU Powermaster Prime makes a good base. G1 Metroplex or Fort Max is fun for hours. G1 Micromaster Skystalker (the ship, not the little car) is the closest Transformer I can compare the Ark to.
The Ark, as a ship, has a great design. I looks like a fat, old school Cylon Raider with clipped wings. Press a round button and it makes a gun fire sound and lights two guns in the front. Place a pilot in the cockpit and it makes a weird but awesome sound that I can't describe with words.
Transforming the Ark is as easy as holding both wings and pulling out 45 degrees, flip both wings over once, and lower the cockpit. About 3 seconds. In that 3 seconds is one of the best transforming sounds yet. I sounds like Armada Overload/Energon Ultra Magnus but lower and more awesome.
Once open there is a repair bay with small arm (don't throw it away, it's hidden with the two clear missiles attacked to Roller's packing material). There is a flip-out ramp on the front that makes noise when pressed down. Move a lever and the ramp will lift up and roll a car down. A central gun that pivots and lights up. A jail cell. Lots of guns, a spring loaded missile launcher and a dummy one, all removable. Two rear facing guns that can move two ways. A ring of five lift pillars. A top platform and Autobot Roller.
All the guns (except the central and front light up guns) can be moved around or removed. This was a neat idea as you can pretend to take damage, place them in one of many peg holes, or just go without.
Autobot Roller is a treaded robotic planet scout. He has a nice bot mode with a large right hand and detailed paint job. He fits nicely in the pilot's seat or will roll down the ramp in scout mode.
I would have paid more for the Ark and still felt like it was a good deal. Really well thought out and a great design for both modes. I have a feeling it will link up to the other four Cyberverse base toys but haven't tried it yet. I noticed that there are a total of eight connection points, four on each side. Anyway, glad I bought this toy today and both of my kids have enjoyed it too (girl 2 1/2 & boy 10).
Pros: + Awesome design for both modes + Very quick and easy transformation + Very good sounds and lights + Figure included + Lots of fun + Great value
Cons: - Rear guns may break at the pivot joint, mine has - No batteries included (needs two AA) - No off switch for sounds... that would have been nice
