This was purchased as a gift for my daughter's friend, who is into Optimus Prime as most little boys are. The mask is plastic, but well made and feels sturdy. It comes with batteries (I love that about electronic toys now-a-days!) and has buttons on the side to elicit the programmed phrases. The package says it has a voice changing effect, but this is a Christmas gift so I didn't put it on to try that out. That being said, the package says it will fit an adult head so for you Transformer freaks out there, a little role playing never hurt anybody!

Optimus Prime Cyber Helmet is the best!If you really want to feel like the Autobot Leader this is an A+ product that all transformer fans will enjoy.I actually own the original Optimus helmet from the first movie and this version is just as good or better.The detail of the helmet is very similar with a slight difference.The original has a solid blue stripe on the nose area where the Dark of the Moon version has a blue & silver decor in the same area.The main difference is the cybertronian tattoo on this version which was absent on the original.The helmet comes with an adjustable strap to fit all head sizes for child and adult.Optimus has three modes for the helmet which are the voice changer,transformation sounds,and battle phrases.The battle phrases are very authentic and sound exactly like Optimus does in the movie.The helmet is very comfortable and stable on your head while covering the entire head front to back.This is a very cool addition to any transformer collection and is great for a child to live out battle scenes as Optimus or for an adult use with a halloween costume to be the Autobot Leader for a day/evening.The helmet is very durable and is very well constructed for an overall awesome movie helmet.Optimus Prime Cyber Helmet is pure role playing fun and enjoyment whether you are a child just getting into transformers or an adult who wants to remember how great transformers are from back in the 80's.Bottom line Optimus Prime Cyber Helmet is a well-made,high quality,10 out of 10 Role Play Helmet that is a worthwhile addition for all transformer fans.I highly recommend Optimus Prime Cyber Helmet to all transformer fans and collectors alike.Optimus Prime Cyber Helmet Rocks and Transformers Rule!!!

I purchased this for my 4 year-old transformer crazed Son. He Loves it! It is durable and he enjoys the fact that he can digitize his voice to sound like an autobot.

My son loves Transformers and is a fan of Optimus Prime repeating several phrases from the show. This helmet was perfect. It has plenty of sayings so that you don't feel it says the same couple of things repeatedly. It sounds authentic. My son loves the voice changer. It doesn't exactly sound just like Optimus, but it does make him sound like an autobot which is very cool. My husband and I even both had to try this on and press all the buttons. As with any helmet, a child will only wear it for so long each time (mine also has to wear eyeglasses under it which fit okay, but makes it a bit less comfortable). I think this will be a toy my son will continue to be interested in off and on for many years. So...for the price, I am very pleased with this item.

My 6-year-old son got this helmet for Christmas and he absolutely loves it! The strap inside the helmet is adjustable so we were able to size it to fit his head. We can keep extending the strap as my son gets older and his head gets bigger. The helmet is somewhat heavy, so at the moment he won't keep it on for long stretches. It has different voice modes with the real Optimus Prime voice. The pre-recorded phrases are cool Optimus Prime sayings, e.g. 'Autobots transform and roll out'. The voice changer is the most fun. You can say all kinds of stuff and you sound just like Optimus Prime. An absolute recommendation for children and adults who are really into transformers.
