Starscream dons his classic colorsNov 13, 2007

Masterpiece Starscream is back and looking great in his original 1980's color scheme. Starcream is priced at $48.00 dollars, which isn't cheap but is much less expensive than paying hundreds of dollars more for the Japanese version. I would not consider purchasing this if you are looking for a toy because Starscream is fragile. This Starscream was meant more as a display piece for adult fans rather than a durable toy. While Starscream is fragile he is a amazing looking figure. Starscream has great paint detail and very nice articulated hands and joints. This Starscream also has the ability to switch his facial expression by doing a quick and simple transformation. Starscream's null-ray cannons do not fire, but they make Starscream look very menacing. Starsrcream's robot mode is very nice but my personal favorite is his jet mode. Starscream looks sharp as the mighty American F-15 Eagle fighter jet. The realism and detail put into Starscream's jet mode is very beautiful. Starscream looks more like a highly detailed fighter jet model than a transformer. Starscream comes with some really nice built in landing gear if you want to display him parked. Hasbro also includes a really nice stand to use to display Starscream in jet mode. You can also use the stand to display Starscream in robot mode as well. Starscream's stand holds his extra missiles and is emblazoned with the purple Decepticon logo. If you are a fan of the original 1980's Decepticons you will like this figure. Please just don't pay more than retail to buy him.

If you're a die-hard Transformers fan, you definitely need this version of the G1 Starscream. He's highly articulated and super detailed, both in robot and jet modes. The interchangable faces are a great touch - the smirking face is in-character and absolutely priceless.
I would caution parents who are thinking of buying this for their child - this is a piece meant for display, and will NOT stand up to hard play. I had a small piece pop off into my hand while I was adjusting him on the display stand. It wasn't broken, and it snapped right back into its socket, but let that be a word of warning.
For the older collector who's been waiting for this version of Starscream to come to America, don't hesitate. He's a bit pricey (do take the time to shop around for the best price), but totally worth it. I can't help but grin every time I see him standing there with his trademark self-satisfied smirk. He's satisfied my toy-buying urge for quite awhile.

Most of the time the Takara Japanese toys are the better versions of transformers. I hate to sound like one of those people who think if its made somewhere else its better than what we do here in the states. But, in the case of the transformers it is true for the most part. This to me is the Masterpiece Starscream to own. Who wants realism. I want Starscream to look like he did in the cartoon, not a real fighter jet. I just got this and I love it Starscream being my favorite character you can't do better than this. Yes 90 big ones is steep, but if your a collector you have to own this. In fact as a collector you have to have atleast one Masterpiece transformer. This is the cheapest one so this is a good place to start. In my opinion though you have to own the Prime. One because its Prime, two because it is that good, and three because it Optimus Prime nough said!!! Anyway back to this toy. In feel as though its perfect. Buy it as a gift or for youself. Lata

I purchased this MP Starscream from Maybang's Collectibles and it arrived ASAP and was packaged very carefully. They are a great vendor to purchase from.
MP Starscream is very detailed. He is light, yet made of a more durable plastic. The detail of this figure to is amazing and it is the largest transforming Starscream on the market.
This the Starscream all those who grew up loving the Transformers should have. A great fathers day gift. Forget giving dad that tie or aftershave like last year. Believe me, he will like this much better.

Este es uno de los mejores transformers que tengo. Starscream mp versión USA tiene la ventaja respecto al de Takara en los colores originales de la serie de tv. Su desventaja, y esto le pasa a todos las versiones de Hasbro, es que el plástico es de inferior calidad. Por lo demás esta excelente ya que es idéntico al Starscream original.
Lo único feo son esos faldones que trae, pero son fáciles de quitar, así que no hay problema. Lástima que ahora no se consigue en menos de $80, pero vale la pena.
Si eres un fanático de transformers no puedes dejar pasar esta figura.
