3Fun but not very durableJan 25, 2010
My nephew is a Transformers freak and I got him this along with some of the larger Transformers that are rather difficult to transform for his birthday. This one is pretty easy to transform, however if your child is not very careful it's pretty easy to break. My nephew is 8 and he takes fairly good care of his toys, but this one broke after just a couple of weeks. Although he does still play with the pieces, it broke in two pieces and he still transforms those pieces and includes them in the transformer games he creates. This toy is good for hand eye coordination but not for beginners. Depending on your child's level of skill they could find this too hard to transform, it's rated for children 5 & up but unless your 5 year old excels in hand eye coordination he might find this toy too hard. I would rate this for 7 years and up, personally.

There is not much to say about 2007 movie Stockade so I'll keep this brief. In vehicle mode he makes a fairly convincing SUV that rolls well but does not strike me as all that great.

Then you transform him, a few pieces fall off, and you put them back on. From here he has a decent robot mode with some crazy extendo-fist gimmick that makes his already too long arms even longer. Honestly though, he is a good toy at deluxe level price. Get him, or not, it's your move.

3Easy to transform if you don't mind re-attaching limbsAug 28, 2008
Ahh the joys of parenthood... my son is now the proud owner of several of the new movie themes transformers. As a 7 year old he's just thrilled to death... as a parent this toy drives me out of my mind.

First of all, this one is one of the easier transformers for my son to transform and he can get the guy back into SUV form fairly easily. As an SUV this toy looks pretty good, as a man he's disportionate but at least will stand upi (many of the others won't)

The negatives of this as well as many of the other Transformers from this line are that they are first of all, very cheaply made. the plastic is light and easily snapped by over excited little boys. The second is the use of ball and socket joints for the arms and legs. These don't fit quite right so the arms and legs pop off with any minor improper turning. Little ones have difficulty getting them back into place and that's where the cheap plastic can become a problem. If your little one tries too hard to force it back into place the ball and socket joint can snap off. As a parent you will spend a lot of time putting arms and legs back on this toy.

Either way you know you will have to buy it for a birthday or Christmas or some other thing... just know ahead of time what you are getting yourself into.

5easy conversion, easy toyJun 23, 2008
this toy is the easiest in my collection to transform. the conversion is only 7 steps! the durability is 3 because it fell once and a leg popped off. overall, this not a bad toy at all.
