| | | Description: | | Universe Deluxe Wave 2: Galvatron appears to support an elaborate array of articulation. Galvatron stocky tank altmode is equipped with a turret-mounted translucent orange cannon complete with an equally translucent missile projectile. In robot mode, Galvatron brandishes his sovereign cannon as an arm-mounted weapon. Arranged beneath a crown-like headpiece, Galvatron red eyes are voraciously inflamed. Salvaged from the battered remains of Megatron, Galvatron was generated by Unicron as an instrument intended to destroy the Matrix of Leadership. Galvatron was provided with heightened power, new warriors, and an imposing warship, although he retained the contempt and defiance that had defined Megatron, and wasted no time in journeying to Cybertron. | | | Features: | |
• In robot mode, this fierce-looking DECEPTICON figure features a giant firing particle cannon blast!
• Convert to tank vehicle mode and the particle cannon becomes a firing cannon - ready to take on enemy forces!

At least mine has to be. While this is a great LOOKING version of Galvatron, in fact one of the best, it does not stay together well. Both arms come off easily during transformation, especially the one with the cannon. Definately not for kids because of this. Good for the collector though, who want a Galvatron/Megatron that resembles the original characters.
The fun factor for me has been finding a nemesis for my small Armada version of Optimus Prime.

A good recreation of GalvatronSep 15, 2008
By Chris Gremillion This is the best homage (not counting G1 reissue) to the original Galvatron looks wise that I have seen. Most others have been simply recolored versions of whatever Megatron was available. I do not feel transformation was that difficult and only consulted the instructions once or twice on a few back pieces. The right (cannon) arm comes off somewhat easily although truth be told I think it was meant to, it has yet to fall off during play. However unlike other reviewers I have yet to have the left arm fall off. There is better than decent posability (incredible though if compared to G1) it is good enough for most kids I believe. I recommend it for kids and collectors.

galvatron deserves betterSep 10, 2008
By Rob in Jersey Like any one who remembers the original '86 animated movie, I was really exited to finally see a galvatron figure who resembled the original, and this one delivers big time in robot mode. For some reason though toy makers refuse to make one that transforms into a cannon like the original, but as a tank this one is as close as you will get, without paying $150-$200 for a G1 or G1 re-issue. The detail is great and very closley resemble the original in robot form, however after that things go downhill very quickly. For some reason this toy is labeled as average difficulty transformation, equal to the jets in the same(very well done) classics line, however while they are extremely easy to transform this guy is nearly impossible. His arms are guaranteed to fall of during transformation, and while they pop back on, another peice on the bottom fell off that I could not put back on. Now mind you I only transformed it once, and I am not even sure I could transform it again, as usual, the complicated directions only give you a one way detail. Add this to the fact even in robot mode, all but the most carful movments will cause his arms to pop off, and this guy is one of the most poorly designed figures I have ever seen. So unless you are a huge fan of the '86 movie, and have been fixing for a reasonably-priced somewhat accurate galvatron, you should probably avoid this one.
Galvatron reviewFeb 01, 2012
By Scribbler This re-release of Galvatron looks identical to the one in the movie. But lets get down to business about Galvatron 1. looks great in tanks and robot mode/ Bad no joints in the knees 2. Difficult and tight transformation: Parts can come off easy because he mostly plastic 3. Don't recommend this for kids/ Only for older kids or collectors 4. I give it 5 star rating because of the Cannon and He's Galvatron and I have him again

Galvatron is as more badass then ever with an actual vehicle mode instead of just turning into a cannon!Don't get me wrong I love him turning into a cannon as well, but this is just all around alot cooler.Galvatron Has a vehicle mode of a solid autobot crushing tank with a firing cannon that turns into a launching particle cannon blast in robot mode. The turret rotates around during transformation to be on the arm of Galvatron just like Megatron had his particle cannon.Galvatron has some sweet detail all around in both modes with the tank mode having silver highlights along with Galv-25 initialed on the side of the turret. In robot mode Galvatron has realistic detail in the chest, arms (which have a cool looking decepticon symbol on one shoulder),legs, and one of the best classic head pieces around. The durability is excellent all around with Galvatron being very capable of handling whatever comes his way.The poseability is awesome as well with great stability for battle scenes or displaying where you please. The transformation level is advanced meaning if you have plenty of experience with transformers there is mid-level difficulty. If you are a parent buying for a child of 5-6 or younger you will have to help in the process. If you take the time to practice with this bad boy he can be a very rewarding transformer for a deluxe class.Galvatron can be challenging for the younger ages, but with some patience it's worth the time.I had no problems with any parts coming off during transformation myself therefore Galvatron is very solid and durable all around in my opinion.Bottom Line Galvatron is a well-made,high quality,10 out of 10 transformer all fans should enjoy.I highly recommend Transformers Universe Galvatron to all transformer fans and collectors alike.Galvatron Rocks and Transformers Rule!!!
