Stylized Autobots roll out!Apr 10, 2009
By Juan Quesada The Transformers-themed Mighty Muggs continue the stylized vinyl line quite ably, beginning with Optimus Prime. For the uniniated, these are a mass market company's attempt at capturing the essence of artistic, designer vinyl figures. Instead of creating new characters, they've taken existing licenses and a uniform body for the line.
Prime retains many of his G1 details in the paint job--smoke stacks and all. The red and blue colors contrast and pop well with the silver/metal portions on the standard Mugg body. If this is your first Mugg, don't expect amazing articulation. Admittedly, it's not perfect. I would've preferred some "ears" on Prime--like Bumblebee from this line, except they'd be flat and run parallel to his head. In any case, it's a nice addition to any Transformers' fan collection.

Hasbro has done it again by continuing there popular kiddish view on popular characters. As Marvel , Star wars, Indiana Jones and GI Joe continue strong with there series, it was only a matter of time that Transformers would get picked up as well. First off if your a collector of these or fan, pick it up, not only is it a awesome interpretation of Optimus Prime, but he looks great in or out of the box. If your new to this series of figures, Optimus is a perfect starting point. Its a great character that every one recognizes, and the japan-esqe( or chibi) look of him is spot on. Whether its for you or getting it as a gift, Add Optimus Prime to your collection.

excellent statue-not toy!Apr 18, 2010
By brent golden this is a collectible - not a toy. if you think it is anything more, you are incorrect. it is, however, an excellent collectible and highly recommended as such!

An Abuse To All Optimus Prime FansMar 15, 2009
By Casimus Prime I don't know about this. The Mighty Muggs line seems like they want to make fun of the people who the toy resembles. Other than this one, Ghost Rider, Captain America, and Iron Man, I'm pissed that Hasbro did this. Transformers are 25 years in age, Hasbro had to go out and to this mean thing to the most beloved Transformers character of all. I bet that parents are writing to Hasbro to discontinue these abusing figures. If you are a fan of these then buy it. I am not going anywhere near this piece of abusing crap.
