Yes it's the same, but that's not a good thingAug 30, 2009
By Dennis Morse Everyone seems to be giving this a good review saying it's great because it's the same as the pad that comes with the wii DDR game, and it is... but that pad isn't any good either. They're soft and don't lay flat, they feel "puffy" and misregister steps. Unless you're playing on a hard floor (no carpet) they don't work well at all. It would be nice if the wii would reliably recognize the better quality pads so that this wasn't the only option.

Don't chance another brand.Dec 30, 2008
By MDH This is the same mat (Konami brand) that comes with Dance Dance Revolution Hottest Party 2. I purchased the game & mat set and then another mat from another brand as a second mat. The generic mat only lasted one day (about 5 dances). My children were so disappointed the day after Christmas to only have one working mat. The other one was a few dollar less, but now I will be sending the cheap mat I purchased (made by CTA) and waiting for Konami brand to come back in stock.

Works with DDR2Jan 28, 2009
By MommyB This is the exact same mat that ships with DDR2. We haven't tried any 3rd party mats, so I can't comment on that. This one worked fine right out of the box and has had no problems. If you are considering another mat, definitely go for it. It brings a whole new level of fun to the game!

Great Dance PadJul 25, 2008

"Big Monster"
Brought from this vendor after doing extensive research and I got what I am looking for. The pad is exactly the same as the original one (the one come with the game). Although it is a bit more expensive than the other alternate dance pad but I have NO complaint...may be a bit for the price.

konami dance padOct 24, 2008
By Tarzhayholic I'm slowly trying to build up 4 pads total for multiplayer action. Great pad for the money... when compared with the cheap third-party mat I already own, the Konami pad is much better quality, and slightly larger too. The non-skid bottom means the mat doesn't bunch up- even on carpet. For the average DDR player, this pad will hold up fine. Just do yourself a favor and buy some extension cables so you can put some space between yourself and your Wii console!
