This toy is cute, but its simply not worth the money. It is about 2-3 inches big and it reminds me of the Wind up toys I used to get at the corner store in the 1980's. The only difference is it has batteries and moves faster. You can buy similar toys at the dollar store and they would probably be just as entertaining as this but of course without the brand name. If they are going to charge what they are charging for this toy I think they should put 2 in a package so at least families with 2 kids can play together. It would kind of be worth the money if you were getting 2 crabs in a package so kids could play together. I think parents will be pretty disappointed with this toy for the cost of it, with all the toys available in stores these days for the price they are charging you could get something much better for the same price that would have a lot more entertainment value than this.

I ordered this and after receiving it sent it back immediately. The cost when I ordered was $23...and when I got it I couldn't believe the size. It was very small probably only 2-3 inches. I had expected a larger crab at that price. Decided not a good bang for the buck. Still had to suck up the return charge and am waiting for a refund. Too bad the dimensions were not in the description.

I bought this as a gift for my 4 year old neice. She saw the commercial and had to have it, but I was a little disappointed when it arrived. The hermit crab is fairly small and the quality isnt that great. Im not sure how much she plays with it.

After unpacking it and turning out the switch. It didn't work. I found out the batteries are dead. So I ordered a pack of battery. With the new batter, it is still not working. Then I concluded it is a defective product. I returned it.

I purchased one of these for each of my daughters. They have played with Zhu Zhu pets in the past and have enjoyed them so I thought this would be a cute gift. I did purchase 2 of the playhouses as well so they would have a place to play with them, however, the Zhu Zhu houses would work also to contain them in a space. I wouldn't mark these as educational toys, just as something silly to do and entertain them. They don't do a whole lot, just run around, back and forth, but their legs move when they go around which is a great feature. I am sure that they would like to expand their collection so I will likely be purchasing more in the future.
